The Warning You Ignore
Your body is the only thing truly yours,
The only home you cannot leave.
The ache you wave away, the breath grown shallow,
The tiredness you wear as if it were natural.
What whispers today will scream tomorrow.
The flaw you dismiss becomes your tragedy.
Simple care could stop the fall.
Instead you carry damage to your grave.
In sickness, prayers; in health, delay.
Ignore too long — there’s hell to pay.
